Updates regarding COVID-19

Dear Pet Parents,

There have been a small number of positive COVID-19 cases in dogs and cats reported in recent news. Here at Dr. Boyd’s we are committed to staying up to date with all new information this pandemic as it pertains to cats and dogs and sharing the most current facts with you.

To date there is no evidence that dogs and cats can transmit the virus to humans and no pets have become seriously ill. With that in mind, pets may carry the virus on fur temporarily if in contact with an infected human. Dogs and cats should not be pet by strangers on walks and cats should be kept indoors.

We will continue to update our website, and if you would like more information please visit the websites for Centers for Disease Control and American Veterinary Medical Association.
